Let's Create Something Beautiful.
The Williams Studio provides a truly unique kitchen and bath experience. We offer a design forward approach, fully functional showroom, and exclusive brands.
I have been working in the home improvement industry for almost 20 years. After graduating from Grand Valley State University with a double major in marketing and business management, I spent over 15 years working in a variety of roles at Home Depot, Lowes and ArtVan. I learned a lot about the home improvement industry during this time, as well as developing my leadership skills. In 2018, I joined the Williams team working with our Builder Group, and now I am the Showroom Manager for the Williams Studio.
With almost 20 years of experience working in this industry, I really understand the customer and how we can best serve them. We want to provide an experience they will brag about. This is our number one focus at Williams, and all of us work hard towards this common goal. As the showroom manager, it’s important to me that we always work as a team to make sure that every customer has an outstanding experience. It’s not just about selling kitchen and bath products, it’s about giving our customers a “wow” experience.
I have been working in the real estate and kitchen design industry for over 20 years. I love the challenge and creativity of marrying elements of beauty and functionality to make memorable spaces in a person’s home. It’s a great feeling to work with a client through every stage of the process as we bring their vision into reality. My many years of experience allows me to help my customers with timelines, budgets and offering detailed, practical solutions to even the most complex opportunities.
As a designer, it’s been a great fit working with the Williams team. We have a beautiful showroom that showcases all the latest trends in kitchen and bath design, and it is a wonderful resource when working with clients. It’s inspiring, and together with my customers, we can create truly unique designs that we are both excited about. It’s a wonderful feeling to have customers love their finished spaces and proud to share with their friends and family.
I have been working in the kitchen and bath industry for almost five years. Prior to this, I was a project manager overseeing the construction and phasing of operating rooms across the nation and Canada. During this time I was also working towards my Master’s Degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. After earning my Master’s in 2013, I continued working in the medical field, but soon realized this career path was a bit too button down for me. As a creative person by nature, I wanted something that would feed my creative side.
After my daughter was born, I decided I needed to change career paths to something that required less travel. It was the perfect time to seek opportunities that would provide the creative outlet that I was craving. I was introduced to the kitchen and bath industry when I started working with a friend who was a home remodeler. I quickly learned this was the industry for me. I enjoy building something beautiful in people homes that they will love every day. I tell every client that my main goal is to make sure that they love the final result every day and that they are confident that they have made the best choices. I spend a great deal of time going over the smallest details with my clients because it is crucial to me that they know exactly what is coming into their home. What makes me passionate about my job are the people I get to work with, to see the awe that comes with showing them how I envision what their space could become. Inspiration comes from lots of areas, I follow designers from across the country on social media, monitoring furniture trends, plus West Michigan has so many incredibly talented builders and designers to learn from and be inspired by.
I LISTEN! This is the first and most important step when I begin working with a client. I want to know what their pain points are in their current kitchen. Not enough drawer space, cabinets with impossible to reach areas, sticky glides, we all have areas in our kitchens and baths that don’t quite function how we want them to. My first goal is eliminating those issues. Next, walk me through your “If I could have any kitchen I want it would be this” dream kitchen. Most people are only going to do a remodel or build a home once or twice in their life, let’s seize this opportunity and see how close we can get to making that dream space a reality. Finally, what drives most projects is the budget. The unfortunate part of my job is that I frequently meet with customers who are remodeling their kitchen or bath because they have no choice, things like water damage or fires. Those customers come to me stressed, and rightfully so, these are not small investments. Fortunately, Williams has a vast selection of items that allow me to create a beautiful, functional space, for almost any budget. I feel good knowing that when those customers come to me, not because they WANT to, but because they HAVE to, that I can help put them at ease when they realize they are not going to have to eat into their life savings to complete the project.
I am fortunate to have the Williams team on my side. We all have our own individual goals, inspirations and work styles, but we also love to work together and share our knowledge and creativity. I love that I am a part of this incredible team and that together we can provide our customers with a remarkable experience as we create a space in their home that they will love for years to come.
My initial experience working with the Williams team started in 1989. For 15 years, I worked in a variety of roles while gaining valuable knowledge and experience of the kitchen and bath industry. I was inspired by my talented co-workers, and enjoyed being able to help homeowners make their dream kitchen become a reality. I attending training seminars and gained more experience working as a designer.
I left Williams in 2003 to raise my family. Over the next several years I continued to work as an independent designer, working with both builders and homeowners. I also produced cabinetry designs for manufacturers such as Starmark and UltraCraft. In 2019, I returned to Williams as part of the design team.
I started my career at Williams, and I’m very excited to be a part of this amazing team once again. In many ways, the industry has changed over the years, but Williams maintains the same core values as when I worked here years ago. We call it H.E.A.R.T. – Honesty, Effort, Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork. Inspired by these values, our workplace is one that promotes success for everyone involved! I view my current role as being a member of a team. When I perform my job well, everyone wins – customer, salesperson, designer, builder, the whole company.
I’ve been working in the industry for almost 20 years. It’s safe to say that I love my work. I am inspired by the challenge of combining beauty and function into every design. I enjoy the creativity of design, and taking a customer’s Wish List and making it a reality for their home. It starts by listening to the customer. Once I understand what they want, it becomes a process of selecting the best ideas that will work for their space. It is important to establish trust right from the beginning. Homeowners are taking a big step when they start building or remodeling, so a little empathy goes a long way. I want my customers to know that they are working with someone who actually cares about their project, and at the end of the process I want them to be happy.
I grew up with a very artistic family. I can remember drawing with Chartpack Markers (professional rendering markers) every time I visited my grandparents. When determining my career path at Central Michigan University, I was instantly drawn towards a creative lifestyle. Little did I know I would love my job, the people I work with, and the company I work for.
Being a designer in the kitchen and bath industry I am able to create unique spaces that reflect the client’s dreams and ideas. It is so enjoyable to see how excited the client gets when their visions are put on paper, then into their homes!
Fun fact: I am a bit of an odd ball. I love horror movies and weird old antiques and taxidermy. I think this gives me an edge and makes it easy for me to get along, and work with all walks of life!
I have always been creative. I graduated from Kendall College of Art & Design with a B.F.A. I love all things design and have worked in a variety of design firms over the years, ranging from high end residential design to a commercial architecture firm, and eventually my own design company. I have spent 25+ years working as a designer in a variety of these industries, but have found a real passion working in the kitchen and bath industry. My education and previous experience is a great fit for this work and I’m very excited to be a part of the Williams team. I appreciate being part of a company that stands behind what they say and what they sell. Working for Williams gives me so many product options that I can find something for every customer’s needs.
As a designer I love to help a client love their space. Finding solutions and helping a client realize their vision is a rewarding aspect of this business. I find inspiration in a lot of areas ranging from travel, and nature, to trade publications and fashion. I start every project by listening to a client’s needs, wants, etc. From there I work to pull it all together in a functional and aesthetically pleasing design that surpasses their expectations. I want my client to walk into their kitchen or bath and love that space every day!
I began my journey in the Kitchen and Bath industry after working in a big box store in college. I was going to school for Psychology, however design became something that I simply fell in love with.
I was lucky to fall into kitchen and bath design because I cannot imagine doing anything else. I start my design process by visiting my client’s house and witnessing how they currently utilize their kitchen. From there, I use my design skillset and experience to further enhance their space, giving them the most efficient kitchen possible.
Every day is unique and every client has different needs and ideas, but at the end of the day there is nothing better than helping someone’s vision become a reality.
My passion for design almost began unknowingly. As a young child, I would build houses out of boxes. In high school, I took a “crash course” in interior design as a filler elective. At the time, I planned on going to college to be a History teacher. My design instructor told me I had a real knack for design and I should pursue it further. I followed that advice and several years later I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Charleston, South Carolina.
I have been in the kitchen and bath industry for 5 years now and I have been working with Williams for 8 months. At Williams, I enjoy how we are able to conduct business as we see fit with our own clients while also having the support of the entire team if it is needed.
My favorite part about the design process is creating a space that excites my clients, whether it is by giving them more organization or an updated physical aesthetic. I also really enjoy the problem-solving aspect of design. At the beginning, a project can seem like a big puzzle. Successfully figuring out what fits where is something that really inspires me.
I know how overwhelming the design process can be for clients and that’s why I also know how important reassurance is. Clients should know that it is their space and they shouldn’t worry about a trend or what someone else is doing. I approach the process by putting myself in the client’s shoes, asking a lot of questions and giving my own personal advice on what will work best in their space. For this reason, I like to get into the home as soon as possible and look through inspiration photos from the client. This way, I can see where the space is currently and to get a vision of what the client wants it to be.
I am here to guide the process with my experience and background, but I really want the client to know that this is their project and my top priority is creating a space they love.
I was first introduced to Williams Studio as a college student studying interior design. One of my classes took a field trip to the Studio, and I instantly fell in love. Fortunately, I was able to secure an internship with the company, and now have worked here for over 2 years. Working here has been an incredible opportunity for me. It is not only a beautiful showroom to work in, but the atmosphere is even better. We truly are a family here, working together and inspiring each other in our field. I have expanded my knowledge of the company, the kitchen and bath industry, and myself. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, and I’m very excited to continue to grow my career at Williams.
I love the combination of technical and aesthetic work within this company and within the industry. I have always been pretty creative, but also love working with numbers and more technical details, so this is the perfect fit for me. I love the versatility of design, and how each client and each project is different. It’s easy to find inspiration in everything we do. It is all around us, we just need to open our eyes and view the world with wonderment and curiosity. It’s easy to look at what everyone else is doing and want to stay with the trends, but I try to look at the client as a whole. So much of the design process is personal preference, so it’s important that I keep my clients focused on the mindset that we are designing for “your home”. I want to make sure that each client chooses something they will love for years to come. It’s also important to me to try to make the process fun for clients. The designing/building/remodeling process can be overwhelming, so I try to bring a bit of fun and positive energy to each client I work with.
I’ve been working in the kitchen & bath industry since 1984. I can’t believe its been 34 years. I’ve seen so many changes in the industry and ups and downs in the economy. My father was part of the original team that established the kitchen division at Williams Distributing, the parent company of Williams Studio. I guess you can say it’s in my blood. My dad worked from home a lot while I was growing up, and I was always interested in his work. I think I did my first kitchen layout when I was 13 or so, and I was hooked from then on. I have worked in this business my entire life and am really excited about joining the Williams team!
Williams is a family owned company with values that are consistent with my own. I really am amazed by the incredible range of products that we offer. We really do have something to offer everyone. From stock cabinetry through full custom – we have cabinetry for every style and budget!
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is the ability to bring to life a dream or an idea that a client may have had for years. It’s an amazing feeling when a client comes to visit me after their job is completed with pictures and hugs. I’m inspired daily by my team and by my clients. The best part of my job is the constant team collaboration.
I approach the design process by starting with my client’s vision. The fun really begins after I’ve gotten to know my client. I work my magic by adding accessories that will make their experience in their kitchen more enjoyable while creating something that is visually stunning.
I enjoy having fun with my clients. As hard as we try, remodeling and building doesn’t always go as planned. My clients know that I will be with them throughout the process. I approach most situations in life with humor and my goal is to have my clients leave with a smile even if the situation isn’t perfect. I pride myself on my ability to build relationships with my clients. The true measure of my success is the friends and family they refer to me after their project is complete.
I love beautiful Plumbing! I have been selling decorative plumbing for over 20 years, and feel that plumbing adds the final touch.. the “jewelry” to a great design project! Plumbing does not have to be boring, in fact there are so many different styles and finishes. Mixing metals creates interest and brings a project to life, and with the new design trends of 2016, plumbing has become a main focus of bathrooms and kitchens. The new finishes from brushed gold, pewter, to the glitz of Chrome – they really are beautiful
Williams Studio has become a premier plumbing showroom right in Grand Rapids! We have quality lines to fit your decorative plumbing needs. Plumbing is one of the first decisions to be made by a homeowner when building or remodeling, and luckily I am able to connect with customers early in the building process. We then stay connected until the end of the project. I love to listen to the homeowners visions and dreams, and help to make them a reality while staying within the budget. The final outcome is a beautiful space where they can live and love!
Whether it be replacing a faucet, or building a new home, I look at each project as a great design adventure and new relationship ! I enjoy sharing my years of experience to help guide my clients through their options, and choose the quality plumbing fixtures that they can use and enjoy for the years to come.
I really enjoy working in the Williams Studio plumbing showroom. We have a beautiful space that helps our client’s dreams become reality. Most people don’t understand the importance of plumbing fixtures in their everyday life. Helping clients combine function with design, and create an end product they can enjoy, is very rewarding. Our design team is available to help my clients with the additional facets of the building process. This gives our customers plenty of options and is unlike any other plumbing showroom.
I will give you and your project the priority it deserves. I see all the details through from beginning to end, taking the pressure off the homeowner, and making sure their vision comes to life. I will help prepare quotes, provide excellent customer service, and follow through with all involved .
In my 10 years in the plumbing industry, I can tell you that Williams treats their employees and customers with honesty and integrity. You will enjoy working with us.
